Ok just a fair warning I will be taking better pictures, but at least you can see what's going on.

We've been pretty much finished with the inside for a while now but Trevor thought that it would look less like a hole in the wall of some shady basement if we painted the outside to be separate from the rest of the gym. So we were going for that sort of Center St. feel where even though the buildings are all pretty much connected each shop paints theirs a different color and has those cute wooden signs. So he came up with the idea of painting a city scape. For this wall we did LA =) It looks really cool when the blinds are open and it goes right to the lime green wall.

We also ended up doing the wall in the far left of this picture. We were going to leave it white but decided it would transition better if it were green. So it has a silhouette of the staples center painted on it.

Here's a little farther down by my door.

Kind of has the industrial feel with the exposed pipes and beams. Love it.

So now everything is ready to go! We're going to start taking clients this week to try and get the hype up before everyone moves in for fall. So you'll all have to stop by some time and check it out for real!

*On a semi-related note, I shaved Trevor's hair before we went to Oregon because it was just TOO HOT!!!!! Did I mention we went to Oregon? ;) So now he has a buzz and it looks great! Pics of Oregon to come soon I guess.

When it rains, it pours! 3 blog posts in 2 days ;) I have more current pictures of the salon de square in progress. That's not what it's called I'm just trying to be funny. Anyways... If you'll remember the gross fleshy peach color and the BYU blue that once colored the walls... they have now been replaced by "New Green", "Oyster", and "Mountain Elk" HAHAHA

We had to prime the walls first.
We ended up doing the blue wall like 4 times because the primer wouldn't stick.

So when you first walk in the wall facing you is lime green, the two side walls are off white, and the back wall is the green-brown. It looks really good so far and I think the wall will be less bright once I get all my furniture and decorations in there. The base boards have been put on now but it looks pretty much the same so I'll just take more pics when i get everything set up. Let me know if you like it! I didn't realize I had to much to post till I uploaded my pictures off my camera. I've missed out on a lot! Well I didn't miss out, I enjoyed it, you just haven't heard about it! =D In a brief synopsis, Trevor and I had out 3rd year anniversary! We stayed up in Draper, went to the zoo, Joe's Crab Shack, the imax, and ate more pizza than you could imagine. I got a new ipod, which is the cutest thing on the planet! (more on that story in a bit) And we cut Trevor's dreads! Not off, just a trim ;)

Ok so ipod DRAMA! Trevor bought me a new ipod for our anniversary because mine's been getting old. So I got the 16 gig touch nano and it's about an inch big. Seriously. So I went to plug it into my computer and it says that I need the newest version of itunes to be compatible with my new pod. Now big deal, i though, I'll just download it. When trying to download itunes my computer says I need the newer version of software, Leopard, in order for it to work. So I talked to the guy at best buy and he said as long as I have an intel processor it should work. So I bought leopard. Upon trying to install Leopard my computer says I don't have enough RAM for this software. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? So after much googling and txting friends and fam I figured out what RAM I needed. I wasn't sure if they'd have it at the store of if it'd have to order it. The store had one that was almost exactly what I looked up minus a few details in the wording but I was pretty sure it was the same one. So I took it home, installed it all by myself, with the help of apple.com and their picture guide ;). It WORKED! So then I installed Leopard, That worked too! The I downloaded itunes and updated every program ever! And now I have a a super savy computer and the cutest ipod on the block. PLUS! it's so small they make WATCH BANDS for it! SOOOO CUTE! I love it.
So now I rollerblade around town jamming to my tunes!

*on a side note at the exact same time my computer is having drama my old ipod started to go on the fritz! It will only play like half a song then it freezes! But the same day I discovered this my friend said he has a program to get songs from your ipod to your computer, which you can't normally do. So he's working on that for me. It's slow going since it keeps freezing. But once he gets me all those songs everything will be complete! sigh*

And here's Trevor's dread cut. I tried to cut them with my scissors but they wouldn't do it! Granted they need to be sharpened but I had to use the kitchen utility scissors that you cut chicken bone with. Ok so maybe those are the only other scissor I have, but still.

It's not a really great after pic but basically it's all as long as those front piece so it was quite a change in the back. We probably cut 5 inches off. It's just too hot for really long dreads this summer.

So I figure now's as good of a time as any to start putting pics up of my salon I'm working on here at the square. Sadly these won't be the exciting pictures so don't get you're hopes up too much! These are some of all the JUNK I had to clear out to even have a place to work.

It's a work in progress but it'll be beautiful when it's done. Right now we're also working on painting and re-carpeting 50 apartments this summer so that takes priority over the salon right now. But we've sent out fliers announcing that we're opening it in August so I hope it's done before then!

After graduation I took a long Christmas break. One to make up for my lack of summer break during school, and two because working adults don't really get any breaks so I'd thought I'd enjoy it while I got the chance. It was a little hard to relax completely because I was pretty obsessed with finding a job asap. But I interviewed at 3 places. The first was a total dump and the second two I loved. But I choose the one here in Provo because it's closer, I have the potential to earn a higher percentage, and the guy who owns it was one of my teachers. So now I work at Gianni International Salon on Center St. I'm even on their website! http://gianniinternationalsalon.com/index.html You can find this cute face under "Our Staff" =D
So far work as been great. I've been there for about a month now and there have been a lot of staffing changes, but mostly for the better. I really enjoy the new crew we have right now. I'm not as busy as I would like to be but it's a great start. Since starting at the salon I have quit working nights at the office of Liberty Square, which has been great! Trevor also stopped locking up and doing walk arounds at night so we finally have nights to eat dinner and just relax. It's been a bit of a pay cut but totally worth it.
In my off days I usually clean a lot and watch some HGTV, but my schedule is going to get a lot busier because the guy who owns Liberty Square wants to put a salon in just for ME! He's been talking about it on and off since I started school but I didn't know how serious he was. Turns out he was REAL serious. So I've been spending the week looking up stuff online and planning out all the things I'll need. They're letting me design the whole thing. I plan on taking a BUNCH of before and after pics to put up for everyone to see. So I'm really excited to one: be busy! and two: get paid hourly (because the salon is an amenity so it's free to the residends and I just get paid like normal). Plus it'll be fun to be around the staff (mostly my fam) without having to deal with the angry parents. Everyone likes getting their hair done for free! =) So this will be on my days off from the other salon and I can't wait to get it all up and running. I unofficially got the budget approved today and we've started cleaning out the room where I'll be. Right now it's storage. You have no idea how much accumulates from throwing parties all the time and having to hold on to belongings left behind for 30 day. And of course it just gets forgotten down there. I will have pics and more info up as it develops. YAY!

Today I had the AMAZING experience of going to the Castle of Chaos, a haunted house in SLC, and interning with their make-up guy, Chris. He was awesome and I had a blast learning how to air-brush.
So for my first one we did a vampire. The pics are of me, but I got to do my friend. First you do cake foundation as a base. Then air brush on the purple.
Then you get to put the black on. It goes not completely over the purple but more like in the middle of it. Then you highlight with white and you're done. This is me and Sara.
Then I got to do a skull face all by myself! I forgot to get one when I was done though.
Meanwhile this is the work of some of the actual professionals.
This was just one layer of color. He did like 3.

It was great and I'm really glad I went. I should be going back tomorrow and two times next week. Then hopefully I can use my knowledge for our spook alley here at the Square. And of course I could not resist going home and putting my teeth in from dad =D

I've hit 1700 hours out of my 2000 I need to finish school. Things are going by so fast! And I still have so much to do. The next two months are going to be nuts.
In October- I'm on Production Team and Take-Home Team which don't sound like a lot but it is. I'm taking an extensions class. I have a haunted house to plan, set up, and STAR in for work ;) And all the birthdays on top of that! Shout to daddy, ryan, emmy, Trevor's grandpa and sister and ME!
In November- I want to be in Phase 2, which is our mini salon. I have to take Final Phase, where we learn everything for state boards, I have to take State Boards (and pass), Be on the Be Nice (Or Else!) Team, and be in AZ for a fabulous week!
Then Dec 4th is my last day. That's it. So I hope I can find a job by then. I will most likely be staying in the Provo/Orem area. With a very slim chance of SLC. Not sure I even wanna drive that far. I guess on the plus side, if I do get another job I'll quit working nights. And it'll be fun to actually get to see Trevor for once.
Graduation is the 12th of December and I should probably start thinking about what I want to do for my model. Oh and there's most likely a photo shoot this month too that I so desperately want to do. Just need some inspiration. I can't decide between the creepy where it would still be good-looking and sort of fashionable or just going with regular creepy and giving a shot at prosthetic pieces and making a creepy zombie thing.

This last week I had off school for my "summer break". Trevor and I could not decide what to do but I really wanted to get away for a while. So last Saturday we decided to go to Vegas and we took off 48 hours later. =) Yay for spontaneity, and this time it actually all worked out. We stayed at the Luxor and it was awesome. Their rooms were really cheap for the week and with no gambling, drinking, and clubbing, most of the time we were just hanging out it the room so we got a nice one.

Trevor got to check off one of his biggest dreams on his bucket list when he went to Exotics Racing driving school and got to drive a lime green Lamborghini Galardo LP560! It was so cute watching trevor and all these old guys act like kids in a candy store with all their favorite cars around. We went to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where they have NASCAR, and got to drive around the road corse that sits inside the oval track for NASCAR. First they have you attend a short class, seriously only like 20 min, about how to race cars and go even faster on turns and then they let you loose! You get to ride with an instructor and they basically just tell you when to floor it and when to break. As Trevor got used to the track he said he was taking turns at around 80 MPH and hit 120 MPH on the straight away. And the instructor was still telling him to go faster. Crazy! Oh and on a side note, Trevor is too tall for a Lamborghini so he was the only one to not wear a helmet.

To make it even more interesting while you're racing around they let professional stunt driver, Romain Iannetta, who drove for Matt Damon in the Bourn Identity, speed around you, taking turns at 130 MPH in his corvette! This guy was big time. They had to literally keep fans on his tires in between laps to cool them down! They also said he goes through 3 sets of tires a day. So needless to say it was a fun experience for all.

That was our big event for the trip. The rest of the time we seriously just ate yummy food and slept. Our favorite restaurant from the trip was Tacos & Tequila in the Luxor. It wasn't as expensive as the other places and was totally delicious Mexican food. I can't vouch for the tequila but the lemonade was to die for! =) So it was a fun week and it was SOOOO nice just being away from work/home/Provo.

Trevor got me this cute little hair cutting necklace and i love it. I'm about 300 hours into school (out of 2000) so I guess I'm 15% of the way there! ;) I still love it and my teachers all say I'm a natural. Hopefully they're not just lying to make me feel good. We have a photo shoot this month that I'm participating in so that will be a first for me. I'm a little scared but it should turn out really well. It's amazing what they can photoshop right?!?! So hopefully that'll help me out a little. I'll be sure and put a copy of that on here too once we're done.
Trevor also got a new iphone for his birthday and he loves it to death. So he can actually answer calls and return txt now. His old ipod was dead too so 2 for 1! Basically things are going great here. <3

It's officially, official. I start school September 21st. I've got new shoes, new pants, and a new attitude. I'm super excited to be going back to school for once, and I'm going to make it the best experience it can be. Wish me luck.
So in recent news:
*Our best friends/neighbors moved away to AZ and we miss them every single day.
*We're trying to find a truck to buy that isn't a total rip off.
*We just got back from Oregon and it was great!

While we were there it was really hot in the city so the coast was super foggy. It didn't really get hot though.
And... I also got my hair cut yesterday. I wanted it to look good before I started school so it looks like I know what I'm doing ;) say hello to my short bob with bangs!

I think I'm going to get my bangs to start a little farther back tho so I have some weight to fight against my evil cowlick.

We finally got rid of Trevor's long hair. He gave me the scissors and let me go to town. It actually turned out pretty well for my first try. He wouldn't let me touch the bangs but we we're going for a more emo hair kinda look. =) It looks even better in person. He even let me put palmade in it for the first time. haha What do you think?

Oh man, I forgot about our awesome Criss Angel experience. So we decided to go see Criss Angel on Thursday. The tickets for the nosebleeds were like $50 so we bought the last few of those that they had. When we got there we gave our tickets to the lady who shows you where to sit and she pulled us aside and asked us if we'd like to sit closer if there was room. So of course we were going to take anything we could get. She radioed her friend and asked if there was room for 3. Then she said "sweet you guys just got hooked up" and began leading us closer to the stage. I was expecting maybe like middle of the room seats but she took us all the way to the front. We went from the LAST row, right next to the sounds booth to the SIXTH row, dead center!!!! It was sooooooo awesome. Those seats are like $200 a pop but that lady just decided we'd be the lucky winners. So we got to see the show from great seats, at one point in the act Criss Angel even ran through OUR ROW! I didn't want to trip him so i didn't try to touch him or anything but I totally could have. He was actually a really funny guy and I liked the show a lot. It was Trevor's and my first magic show and it's going to be hard to beat. He joins up with cirque de soleil, but they didn't do as much of the usual amazing things they do. They were more like creepy dancers to make his show more twisted and thematic. I loved it all the same though. It was a great ending to our trip.

LAS VEGAS

Can I just say that our trip to Vegas was totally amazing. We got to stay in a sweet hotel. This is looking down from our room on the 21st floor. The whole pyramid is a huge atrium where they have food and shows. We didn't really have a reason to go to Vegas, we just needed a vacation. Trevor's friend Jon had a bowling tournament there and didn't want to go alone so he invited us to tag along. It was great! It was so nice not to have to worry for a second and just relax. We also made it back just in time for the weekend so we can recoup . You know how you always need a vacation to relax from all the craziness of your vacation ;)
This is my favorite part, the Bellagio water fountains. Look at how long Trevor's hair really is. It's been a year from Feb 5th that he shaved it (to propose to me, awww) <3<3<3

We got to do so many thing while we were there. Our legs were very tired every single night. But I use all that walking as an excuse to ignore how many buffets we hit up ;) Just kidding. I think Trevor's favorite part was the Lamborghini show room. They had some amazing cars there. I got video of everything so I will hopefully have that edited soon. I hope everyone is doing well. I'm still in my Vegas habits so we're going to hit up Del Taco with our neighbors, even though it's almost 2 am! Viva Las Vegas!

I finally found my camera cord!!!! So now i have pictures and videos from all summer long. =)
For our most recent adventure Trevor and I drove out to LA for my birthday to visit all the California family. It was SOOOO much fun! I wish we were still there. Trevor had never been to Sea World so we made a trip down to San Diego to visit the water animals. We had a blast the whole time. There was a crazy seal there who kept barking at me! This is a clip of him.

I think the dolphins were Trevor's favorite. Then of course there's the beach,
And a big moment in history for my first time EVER on a ferris wheel. ;)
Halloween was fun. I woke up and trevor had decorated our front room. Our gerbils even pitched in and made me a banner.
And yes, they just sit there all day.
Then we opened present, andwork was nice and easy, and the we hung out at Tracy's house scaring little kids. Well, Trevor scared them while I sat as a beacon of hope on the porch with the candy. Seriously it was scary.

The on saturday we had dinner at cafe rio with our friends. It was fun.
So going in backwards order, we also went to yellowstone (also a first in samantha history) and we hiked Timp cave! Fun, Fun, Summer!

Sam: but we also saw lots of geysers (old faithful of course), hot springs, and animals. One bison came within 3 inches of our car when we were leaving one night. He was just cruising down the oncoming traffic lane. At least he was going the right direction.

Catch up to the summer

I know everyone (or at least CJ) has been asking for me to take picture of this summer so you could see what we've been up to. And I did, but I usually write on my blog at work, when i work the boring night shift, so I don't have pictures to put on. So I thought I would now! =)

As I'm sure you all know trevor and I also bought a hedgehog. And he also gave me ringworm. =P It's pretty much gone now though. School is started again and it's going pretty well. I'm definitely going to pass all my classes. Unfortunately though after this semester i'm offically out of classes to take and without a major. I've considered a couple different ones but i'm still totally stuck. But life's still good. We went to yellowstone right when school started and it was totally awesome. The last time I was there I was a fetus, so it was cool to actually get to see stuff this time ;) It's almost my birthday and Trevor and I are deciding what to do. We are very much considering a trip to Cali and I'm really excited about it! Trevor's never been there and I'd get to go hang with everyone. I'm going to be 21 so I hope you all feel old. haha. It's starting to get cold here. I wore my snow coat all weekend so Winter is coming. Alisha, my old roommate, is usually my snowboard buddy, but she broke her foot longboarding over summer and got serious sergery so i'm buddyless this winter. So if any one wants to move up here and ride with me that's totally cool. Alright well I love you all! See you at Thanksgiving! Which FYI we're coming down Monday-Sunday afternoon ;)

The pet situation has been resolved. We now own two little black gerbills, and they are SOOO cute. Their name's are che' and omar. Trevor spent spent a whole day down in his work shop building them ramps and houses for their cage. They love it. And the busy week of work is over so life is running smoothly. Tomorrow Trevor and I are going to Warped Tour! I'm so excited. And soon it'll be the 4th of July and I actually live in a place where fireworks aren't illegal. Basically things are going great.

Right now Trevor and I are looking up animals we can sneak into our apt. We're not really supposed to have pets so we've decided to start with "small mammals", as the pet shop calls them. We had a pet rat, I know it sounds gross but he was really cute, unfortunately though he developed respiratory problems and died. It was pretty much the saddest thing I've ever seen. So now we're looking into hedgehogs and gerbils. I figure we can start there, then get a dog, then have kids. You know, work our way up the responsibility ladder.
So I quit my job at the dental office. It was just a little too stressful and a little too lame driving up to an hour to work. They have three offices so sometimes they'd want me to drive out to Saratoga Springs (about 45min away). So now I'm full time at Liberty Square. And even tho I make less I 'earn' more with how much I save on gas. One of the other office girls is leaving so I'm taking her spot. Also my friend, Erin, from work just had her baby today. She's really cute! I want to set her up with Finley. =)
This week is also checkouts for spring and move-ins for summer semester, which means work is going to be totally crazy. But I'll take it any day, at least the people are awesome! (They're all my in-laws). I just told Trevor if he could catch a raccoon he could keep it, he just ran out the door. I'd better go.

My first blog

Well Jane told me when I was engaged that I was going to have to start a blog since I was getting married. So I guess here it is! Trevor and I have now been married for 12 days and it's been amazing! Oregon was wonderful. It kind of rained a lot and it was pretty cold, but az was hot and utah was hot when we got back so the change was still nice. Both of our hotels were RIGHT on the beach. We pretty much walked around the beach everday. Every restaurent said they had the best clam chowder so we ate a lot of that too. First we stayed at Cannon beach. It's a super small town full of hippies and everyone had a dog. I felt left out we didn't bring one. It was just really relaxing there. We had bonfires on the beach, flew our kite Petey, (we named the kite since we didn't have a dog), and hung out in the hot tub. We both really needed a vacation so we really tried to relax. On the last day there we went to sea side. It's another small town but more touristy. It's where all the littler surfer and skater kids grow up. They had tons of little shops and Trevor got a ship on a botle. Which is now a centerpiece for our beach theme inspired front room. Night at sea side is crazy because tons and tons of thick fog rolled in and all the shops closed up early so the entire town looked like a deserted horror movie. It was actually really cool. I've never seen fog before but I liked it. We went to the beach after dinner and you could hear the water but couldn't see it until you were right next to it. It was trippy. I'll have tons of pictures once I get my camera back. I accidentally left my digital camera in AZ so i had to buy a disposable. Hopefully they still turn out alright.
So now we're back home and pretty much moved in. I LOVE having my own place. Everyday I try and make it a little more cute. It should be amazing once I'm done. We I've got to go be domestic and move my laundry over. haha But Just so everyone knows I am so happy right now and life as a new married girl is great! Loves!
